How Multimedia Pieces Can Take Your Online Content Up a Notch

As a marketer, it can be overwhelming to keep up with trends and stay relevant when it comes to content marketing. How can you make sure your online content stands out against your competitors? Go beyond text and showcase all that your brand has to offer in other creative ways!

Podcasts

In recent years, podcasts have become more and more popular. In the United States, 37% of people (104 million) listen to podcasts at least once a month, and 24% of people (68 million) listen to podcasts weekly. They are convenient for your audience to listen to at various points of the day – whether in the car, at the gym, or while multitasking.

Not only are podcasts convenient for your audience to consume, but they also connect you to your audience and build a community around your expertise. By adding a voice to your brand, you will appear more personable and approachable as well.

Webinars

Webinars are great educational tools with the potential to reach an extremely large audience, as they can appeal to anyone in any location.

Webinars are especially effective for B2B companies since 66% of B2B buyers prefer to watch a webinar before buying a product or service. Appealing to other businesses, webinars can position you as a thought leader in the industry, and in return, build trust and loyalty with your audience. With the upswing of online events, now is the perfect time to jump on this trend!

Unboxing Videos

Unboxing videos have been around for a while, but they have recently gained popularity due to the influx of influencer marketing. These videos allow viewers to discover products alongside an influencer and feel their excitement of opening a gift!

Whether you are unboxing clothing, food/beverages, or any other item that resonates with your audience, these videos can help develop and strengthen your brand. In fact, 20% of consumers watched an unboxing video before making a significant purchase. If you can position your brand as a trusted source, the more likely they will try products or services you endorse.

Graphics & Images

The internet is a crowded space where users often become overwhelmed by the amount of content they see. Try adding a graphic or image to grab your audience’s attention. While the addition of an image or graphic can seem like a simple addition, social media posts with images receive 2.3 times more engagement than those without.

Whether you’re sending out an e-newsletter or sharing a social media post, you can grab your audience’s attention with the addition of an image or graphic. Try using viral images or popular memes to further resonate with your audience and develop a brand voice. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words!
