Social in 60: Tips to Successfully Outsource Your Social Media

In today’s Social in 60 we discuss tips on successfully outsourcing your social media. For those not familiar with what I do at WTWH, I manage social media accounts that have been outsourced to the company.
When outsourcing your social media don’t give it all way and forget about it. Remember that no one knows your company better than you. Collaborate with your vendor and stay in the loop with what they’re posting, the message they are sending out and make sure all parties involved know what your social media goals are.
When getting started with your vendor send them your customer and prospect list, a list of key industries and key terms for them to get familiar with what to post. Once they post on your behalf have your vendor inform you of any comments or questions that arise from your fans and followers so you can provide the best answer for them to give. Since your vendor isn’t involved in your day-to-day operations keep them up-to-date on any tradeshows you’re attending, company parties or new products.
Lastly, ask for monthly reports on your social media growth. How many visits came to your website from social media? How has your Facebook page grown in the past month? What are the latest updates in the social media world?
