WTWH Media announces inaugural LEAP Awards, plans to recognize excellence in engineering product design
Business-to-Business publisher WTWH Media, LLC, has announced the launch of the inaugural Leadership in Engineering Achievement Program (LEAP) Awards, a design engineering product competition that will honor the most exciting new products in a host of technology areas. The program will encompass products representing three of the company’s flagship brands: Design World, Fluid Power World and EE World Online.
LEAP will honor the best designs in 14 categories: Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, Analog Electronics, Connectivity, Embedded Computing, Fastening & Joining, Hydraulics, Industrial Automation, Mechanical, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Power Electronics, Switches & Sensors, and Test & Measurement.
“For many years, our successful Leadership in Engineering program honored individual manufacturers doing innovative things in design engineering,” said Scott McCafferty, Publisher, WTWH Media. “The LEAP Awards is the logical next step in focusing on the actual products themselves.”
“The LEAP Awards will celebrate the most innovative and forward-thinking products across the mechanical and electronic engineering space,” said Paul J. Heney, Vice President, Editorial Director. “The design engineering community is full of immensely talented manufacturers, and we want to highlight the accomplishments being made in so many technology areas.”
Entries into the program must have been released within the past two years and be available for commercial purchase in the United States. Submissions are now open. Deadline for entries is September 12, 2018. Winners will be announced at an awards banquet in conjunction with DeviceTalks West on December 11.
