Advancements in robotics and intelligent systems technologies make it possible for businesses to operate in wholly new ways to drive down costs, optimize performance, and generate revenue. As a result, corporate executives are demanding that their company’s level of automation be increased often using robotics solutions. In other cases, businesses both large and small are seeking to introduce wholly new classes of products and services, or ‘robotize’ existing product lines.
The robotics and intelligent systems sector is currently undergoing rapid growth, much like the early days of the PC, e-commerce and mobile communications markets. About Dan Kara
As Vice President, Robotics at WTWH Media Dan is charted with driving the company’s robotics initiatives including the Robot Report online portal and The Robotics Summit and Showcase. Prior to joining WTWH, he was Practice Director, Robotics at ABI Research and Chief Research Officer for Myria RAS, both research and advisory services firms focused on automation, robotics and intelligent systems. Dan was also President of Robotics Trends, an integrated media and research firm serving the personal, service and mobile robotics markets. He was the developer and past chairman of the RoboBusiness Conference and Exposition series, the RoboDevelopment Conference and Exposition series, the RoboNexus Conference and Exposition series, and the CES Robotics TechZone. Dan has also worked as Executive Vice President of Intermedia Group, Director of Research at Ullo International, and Chief Technical Officer of Software Productivity Group. He holds a MS in Computer Science from Boston University.
