Video Pre-Roll
Design World offers several video display advertising options, one of which is pre-roll. This is simply a video that runs just before any video in our system, typically for 15-20 seconds and we can assign a URL so a user can click the video player itself to make the jump. We can adjust frequency, meaning the amount of times a pre-roll video is shown to a given user in a given amount of time. If cookies are active, which is 98% of the time, a watcher will only see the video 1X in a 24 period during any number of sessions. This frequency ensures a good balance between ad delivery and not bouncing the viewer. Metrics on pre-roll CTR have been an order of magnitude higher than other types of banner display advertising making it attractive. However feedback is usually “I don’t have any video, worthwhile video or production capabilities.” This is where DW can help – we can build video pre-roll in-house.
Since pre-roll is very short, all we need to start is a company logo, the main call to action (just a few sentences on offer, solution, event, etc), several high resolution images and the desired click through URL and our team can build a concise pre-roll video for you allowing you to participate with no risk. A user then gets a quick dose of your company, brand and offer in 15 seconds to a very captive viewer. We know video production can be costly and time consuming, so participating in DW pre-roll can help determine the next steps in your own video strategy.
Design World is also setup to do more involved full video production and have done several on-site video shoots and done everything from shoot to final product to distribution via the entire DW network. So get involved and contact your favorite rep or myself for more info – we’ll see you up in lights soon.
And speaking of bright lights, wanted to share a clip from Bloomberg TV – the January issue of Design World Print Magazine was featured on Bloomberg TV, Taking Stock, ‘Press Checks Section’ with Pimm Fox, always good to see your product in front of a large audience.
