#WLW14: Secrets to Success on Social Media in 2014
I just attended the World’s Largest Webinar hosted by @HubSpot, featuring speakers from @facebook @twitter @LinkedIn. It was a great webinar and #WLW14 was trending right away in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record! Here are just a few of the key takeaways that I think are the most helpful!
How to Improve Your Twitter:
Profile:
-Give it attention
-Make the most of your bio, should reflect your business
-Provide a URL, make it easy for people to find you
-Learn about Twitter’s new design and layout
Posts:
-Drive engagement by giving the audience what they want
-Users follow businesses to learn about new products, show their support and to get information they can use.
-80% of your tweets should be non-selling tweets
-Photos get double engagement
-Use hashtags correctly
Facebook Advertising:
-Not enough people are creating newsfeed ads, these are effective!
-Facebook is one of the best targeting platforms today because people use their real identities
-Upload a list of customers from email contacts to market on another platform
-Create a look-a-like audience by having Facebook target users similar to your target
-Use page insights to manage ROI and deem an ad’s effectiveness
-Refresh ads periodically every 2-4 ads, text and images and new targeting
LinkedIn Tips:
-Use sponsored updates to amplify messages on LinkedIn
-Created targeted audiences for sponsored updates
-Don’t forget about users who are using tablets or mobile applications!
My favorite lines from #WLW14 World’s Largest Webinar:
Marketing without data is like driving with your eyes closed.
It is hard to over-tweet but easy to over-Facebook.
Always be Experimenting.
