Tips to Effectively Promote Your Webinar
Webinars are another form of digital media taking over the B2B industry. By now we all know what a webinar is and may have attended a few, some may have even presented in them. The question is though, Are you leveraging your webinars the best you can? Below you’ll find tips on how to effectively promote your upcoming webinar.
First and foremost, create your registration form, which should be done three to four weeks before the live webinar. Once the webinar registration form is created, create a blog post for your website that links to the registration form you created. The more places available for people to register, the more registrants (leads) you can have. Keep in mind also that the more time you have to promote your webinar, the more time you have to capture leads.
Before you hit “publish” on your blog post, develop a hashtag for your webinar. Try #MnfgWebinar, #HydraulicsWebinar or #PneumaticsWebinar. This will be helpful for the rest of your webinar promotion. Now that you can publish the blog post take advantage of social media to increase the number of leads you can get from your webinar.
*Post on your companies Facebook page twice a week for three weeks before the webinar about what people can learn from the webinar and be sure to link to your registration page. Tag any applicable companies/people speaking in the webinar.
*Use Twitter to tweet out the registration link with the date, time, webinar title and your webinar hashtag. In your tweets tag any companies/speakers presenting during the webinar. Publish a tweet every other day for the first two weeks of promotion and the week of the webinar publish a tweet 1-2 times per day.
*Google+ is another great place to utilize your webinar hashtag. Post on Google+ once a week in the three weeks leading up to the webinar. In your post include the date, time, webinar title and webinar hashtag. Then make sure to tag any companies/speakers that are presenting.
*On Pinterest you can pin the image you’re using to promote the webinar and link it to the registration page. In the description of the photo you can put the webinar title and again use your hashtag.
*Post on your LinkedIn company page and any relevant groups you’re in about the upcoming webinar once a week for three weeks before the webinar.
Now that you’ve utilized all your resources for promoting the webinar what’s next? Promotion shouldn’t come to a stop once the webinar begins. During the webinar tweet key facts and key takeaways using your hashtag you created. Also, don’t forget to record the webinar for future promotional uses. Once the webinar comes to an end, use your blog post to host the slides from the webinar and the recorded version of the webinar. You can put a form in front of the recorded version for those who didn’t register yet but want to watch the recorded version. Placing a form in front of the recorded version allows you to continue to receive leads even though the webinar is over. Speaking of over, you should continue to promote the recorded version of the webinar to gather more leads by using social media the way you did before when you were promoting the live webinar.
