Taking It Behind the Scenes on Social Media
Social media is great for promoting services and products, but it is also great for connecting with your audience on a personal level. One way to do this is by sharing behind-the-scenes content.
Behind-the-scenes content is exactly what it sounds like. It is content that shows the audience the company’s culture, staff, and the everyday process that makes you relatable, approachable, and more human. It allows people to see your company on a personable scale rather than as a corporation.
Here are some examples of behind the scenes content you can start using today:
- Updates on projects
- Event you’re attending
- Employee and customer spotlights
- Case studies and success stories
- Company parties
- New hires
- Company fun facts
- Team bonding activities
- Photos of work places
- Photos from meetings with customers
As you can see from the list, these are ways to take your audience on a journey through the fun times at a company party, the excitement or headaches of a project, or the beginning of someone’s journey in the company. The first step to incorporating behind-the-scenes content is snapping a picture or video of any of the examples above, describing what is going on, and posting it.
There is one thing to keep in mind before posting behind-the-scenes content. Ask yourself, can what I’m about to post give our company a bad reputation? If you answer yes, keep your finger away from the post button. Just remember to think before you post.
If you decide to give behind-the-scenes content, let me know what type of behind-the-scenes content you were sharing and how it’s helped in the comments below.
