Social Media Channel Graphics Requirements and Dimensions

Here is a list of the social media sizing dimensions for images you need to set up your Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn channels.

Facebook Dimensions

Required Items

  • Cover Photo: 851 x 315
  • Profile Image: 180×180
  • Tab Icons: 111×74
  • Tab Page: 810 width

Recommended Items

  • Shared Photo: 404×404
  • Highlighted Image or Milestone: 843×403

 

Twitter Dimensions

Required Items

  • Background Total Size: 1800×1200
  • Space on the left column of the main content area varies with viewers’ screen dimensions, but the size of the amount to leave on the side based on resolutions appears below:
    • 66px for 99% of visitors (1024px wide resolutions)
    • 194px for 82% of visitors (1280px wide resolutions)
    • 238px for 56.1% of visitors (1366px wide resolutions)
    • Up to 520px for 42.3% of visitors with resolutions wider than 1366px
  • Profile Image: 128×128 (700KB max)
  • Header Image: 1252×626 (5MB max)

 

YouTube

Required Items

  • Avatar Picture: up to 1600×1600, resized to perfect square 55×55 or 36×36 depending on area on site
  • Background Size Varies (1MB Max Size)
  • Channel Width: 970px
    • 90% of users see 8 px on either side of the content container
    • 67% see 136 px
    • 43% see 180 px
    • 21% see 216 px

Required Items

  • Company Logo: 100×60
  • Company Square Logo: 50×50
  • Cover Photo: 646×220
  • Products and Services Banner Images: Up to 3 images allowed; each 640×220
  • Products and Services Icon Images: 100×80
