Following record-setting 2018 event, 2019 moves to new spring 2019 dates
Cleveland, OH – DeviceTalks, the industry-leading event series for medical technology professionals, is proud to announce that its Boston 2019 show will be held in June and co-located with the Robotics Summit & Expo.
DeviceTalks Boston, held this year in the Seaport District on Oct. 10-11, drew record numbers of speakers and exhibitors. Powered by WTWH Media’s MassDevice, the event featured keynote interviews with some of the top names in medtech, including Hologic CEO Steve MacMillan, HeartFlow chief medical officer Dr. Campbell Rogers, Google executive Heidi Dohse and TransEnterix CEO Todd Pope.
“Every year we highlight the best of the region’s medtech ecosystem at DeviceTalks Boston and 2018 was no exception. We’re thrilled by the success of our greatly expanded program and excited to continue that growth next year for our 8th installment of the event,” said DeviceTalks content manager Sarah Faulkner. “Next year promises to be even bigger and bolder, as we welcome our friends at the Robotics Summit & Expo at a terrific new venue in Boston’s dynamic Seaport District.”
DeviceTalks Boston 2019 and the Robotics Summit & Expo are scheduled for June 5-6 at the Seaport World Trade Center. The Robotics Summit & Expo brings together the brightest minds in robotics throughout the world to share their expertise on a variety of topics covering four tracks: Technologies, Tools and Platforms; Design and Development; Manufacturability, Production and Distribution; and Workforce Development.
“We are delighted to co-locate DeviceTalks Boston with the Robotics Summit & Expo, and explore the fast-growing intersection of robotics technology and the practice of medicine,” said DeviceTalks and MassDevice co-founder Brad Perriello, Executive Editor for Life Sciences at WTWH Media. “We enjoyed record attendance at our DeviceTalks series this past year and we are excited to build on that momentum with our colleagues at the Robotics Summit & Expo next summer.”
“The success of the inaugural Robotics Summit last year clearly demonstrated the need for a world-class, focused, technical conference about developing commercial robots,” added Dan Kara, VP of Robotics at WTWH Media. “The 2019 Robotics Summit & Expo builds on that success, based on attendee and sponsor feedback, with an expanded focus and deepened coverage in key areas. As part of this effort, we are pleased to co-locate with DeviceTalks Boston, the leading medical technologies event where business and technology topics often intersect with those in the robotics sector.”
