Content Marketing Ideas: 9 Ideas of Content to Create Now

content marketing ideas 2

1) Key Takeaways:
Take notes while listening to a webinar or attending a seminar. Then afterwards do a quick write-up about the main topics or the takeaways you found the most helpful. This works best when done during the event or right after the event as the content can be shared on social media while there is still a buzz. Example: #WLW14 Webinar: Secrets to Success on Social Media in 2014  & #CMWorld: How to Write Blog Posts that Get Read and Shared

Solar of Instagram 100x1002) Photoblogs:
Have a ton of photos from an event? Turn these into a photoblog! Solar Power World took plenty of photos at Intersolar and turned these into a fun photoblog. These are popular because they are easy to read and people enjoy looking through photos. Examples:  Photoblog: The Biggest, Fastest And Best Of Mounting At Intersolar & Blog: Solar of Instagram

3) Answer Questions:
Create a list of frequently asked questions and turn it into a blog post. FAQ content will remain timely and will be appreciated by your customers! These could also be a resource for employees to help customers. Example: What Are Facebook Verified Pages and How Can I Get One?

4) How To’s: Mold 100
Explaining how to do something is an easy topic to write about and will remain evergreen. These also perform well in search engine results because people often ask a question as they are researching. Example: How to create molds in less than 24 hours with 3D printing

5) Reviews:
Do a product review! Do a blog post with your 3 favorite aspects of your company’s new product or an overview about the product. Example: Product Spotlight – BEI Kimco Voice Coil Actuator Developer’s Kit

6) Videos:
Sometimes how to’s and reviews are easier to explain in a video. It is a good idea to create many forms of content because people prefer getting information differently. If the videos perform well keep producing them on a regular schedule. Examples: Social in 60: Tips to Successfully Outsource Your Social Media & Editors on Topic: Self-Driving Cars

7) Infographics:
Content that is dense with statistics or numbers makes great infographics. Customers appreciate infographics because they are visually appealing and the numbers are organized in an easy format. Try pairing an infographic with an article to appeal to both customers who prefer to read and those who prefer to get right to the point. Example: UK report: More than $822 million invested in wind energy by independent generators

8) Lists: mistakes 100
Lists are often popular because they are short and get right to the point.  Try creating a list about any topic with 3-10 main points. These also make great headlines! Example: 10 Social Media Marketing Mistakes That Annoy Online Marketers The Most

9) Recycle Content: Re-use your content! Don’t be afraid of using the same topic in different mediums. Our editors have been experimenting with ways to recycle great content and turn one piece of content into 5 more. Try turning a blog post into a short video, transcribing a podcast into an article or use customer questions from a webinar as writing topics. Example: Behavioral Changes Needed to Switch from History-based to Direct Modeling

*Tip: Don’t be stumped when you sit down to create your next piece of content marketing! Anytime you hear something that inspires you or you think of a great topic write it down. Have a spot in your phone or agenda where you keep track of your ideas so you will also have plenty of options when it is time to get creative.
