A Typical Day for a Social Media Manager [Infographic]
When I was asked to manage the social media platforms for my company, I was more than excited for the opportunity. Who wouldn’t like to play on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and get paid for it? Little did I know that being a social media manager is more than a nine-to-five job, and it takes a serious passion for what you do in order to keep your sanity. A social media manager is one who is should eat, sleep, and breathe social media and common traits are you are always on your phone checking Twitter and Facebook, looking for deals when checking into Foursquare, and you’re more up to date than even these guys.
I found this infographic and I loved it because of how many truths are depicted. Granted, every job is different and while some of the minor details may not be in your day as a social media manager, for the most part, I find it’s a pretty good depiction of an average day.
