Our ideal candidate is working towards an information design, graphic design or visual communication design degree, has savvy computer skills, is highly self-motivated, and is able to manage several tasks simultaneously. S/he should have a reliable means of transportation, working Macbook system that includes Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and take direction well on assigned projects. People who apply should also have excellent time-management skills, a passion for design, and be comfortable working independently as well as working within a team.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design layouts for up to 4 different publications
- Provide design assistance within additional company supplements and handbooks
- Assist in production tasks (ad placement, issue layout, etc.)
- Manage design opportunities for potential ancillary projects
- Work within digital media (electronic magazine versions) as well as social media
- Keep up-to-date on latest design and software trends
The Graphic Design Intern position will be based in our offices in the mid-town corridor of downtown Cleveland, Ohio as of May 2015. The internship will run from mid-May to mid-August and will operate 4 to 5 days a week (8am -5:30pm). This internship is a paid opportunity.
