WTWH Media LLC Announces Design World Management Team
WTWH Media, LLC today announced several key editorial, production, and marketing appointments to the Design World management team. The team officially starts September 1, 2006. The management team is led by co-founders Mike Emich and Scott McCafferty, both veterans in the engineering media space.
According to Mike Emich, CEO/Associate Publisher, “We are excited to have such talented professionals join WTWH. We are confident that we will set new standards for measurement with our print, online and Emedia offerings.” Emich adds, “We aim to raise the bar, meeting and exceeding the needs of our readers and marketers.”
Joining WTWH Media, LLC:
John Gyorki, Editorial Director
John brings extensive experience in both design engineering and professional writing. Gyorki’s background includes a BSEE degree from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield Detroit, Michigan. His engineering career includes Burroughs Computer, General Electric MAN-MADE Diamond Manufacturing, XLO Corp, Control Systems Group, Bendix Corp, Engine Controls Group, and WR Grace Performance & Custom Automotive Equipment. With an established engineering background, Gyorki also has a solid foundation in business-to-business media writing with 16 years of engineering experience for a broad based OEM design publication, as well as leading the editorial direction on a medical engineering publication.
Leslie Langnau – Managing Editor
Leslie Langnau joins with a BS in Engineering from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan where she began her career with Allen-Bradley Co. Leslie brings a 20 year career of business to business writing, working on publications serving the motion control, material handling, and machine tool markets.
Terri Heuser – Art/Production Director
Terri joins WTWH having worked on graphic arts/production aspects of business-to-business media for 16 years. Most notably, Terri has worked on manufacturing and engineering publications serving the machine tool and power transmission markets.
Marshall Matheson – Director of New Media
Marshall will be primarily overseeing web development and integration of emerging technologies to better serve the Design World engineering and supplier base. A graduate of University of California, Santa Barbara, Marshall brings over 10 years industrial marketing experience to designworldonline.com. Marshall’s last engagement comes from Danaher Motion as a product line manager for OEM control products.
Set to go-live October 2006 www.designworldonline.com will be accompanied by the print companion going out to over 40,000 design engineers October 2006.
